“SAW” Duo Unleash “THE NEIGHBOR”

After dealing with piranhas, horny monsters and trap-based torturers, Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan are looking to scare you with a fear we all can relate to: the guy next door.

Screen Daily reports the brains behind the SAW sequels (from IV to 3D) and last year’s THE COLLECTION are once again re-teaming for a new horror film, THE NEIGHBOR. To be directed by Dunstan, the film follows a New Mexico man who discovers the dark truth about his neighbor, and what (or who) he is keeping in his cellar.

Sycamore Pictures and Fortress Features will be producing and financing the film. Casting is currently underway for THE NEIGHBOR, with no names attached at this time. No word on how this film affects, if at all, their work on Universal Studios’ GOD OF WAR film or Dunstan’s proposed third entry into their COLLECTOR franchise, THE COLLECTED.
