Schwarzenegger zombie film “MAGGIE” sets world premiere; First Images


We were just thinking that we hadn’t heard much lately about MAGGIE, the unusual new zombie drama starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, when along came word this morning that the movie will have a prestigious world premiere next month.

The Toronto International Film Festival announced that MAGGIE will debut as part of its Special Presentations lineup. Schwarzenegger stars as Wade, a Midwestern farmer trying to care for his daughter (Abigail Breslin) as she succumbs to a disease that turns its victims into the walking dead.

Henry Hobson directed from a script by John Scott 3, and the cast also includes Joely Richardson, Laura Cayouette and Amy Brassette. The Toronto fest runs September 4-14; for more on its genre selections, click here.
