Heading down to Austin’s annual festival? You can be one of the first to catch Fede Alvarez’s highly anticipated remake.

By the look of its tremendous trailers-the dizzying style, the ample blood-an Austin crowd, preferably in an Alamo Drafthouse is where you’ll want to see brand new deadites, amputated arms and the promised practical FX of EVIL DEAD 2013. The film, as reimagined by Alvarez, sees the director take hold of Sam Raimi’s original story of five kids, a cabin and the evil unleashed by a Book of the Dead.

There’s certain to be much more in the way of horror announced, so keep an eye on Fango in the coming weeks. In the meantime, remind yourself just how good this one looks and head over to SXSW for the rest of the first announcement.
