Take on “FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY” this July

Richard Raaphorst’s long-awaited chronicle of Russian soldiers and their discovery of reconstructed, reanimated Nazi monsters hits this summer.

Having just played New York’s Tribeca Film Festival—where our Michael Gingold really enjoyed—FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY looks to boast some seriously cool creations, practical FX-wise. This July 26, audiences in select cities will get to see Propellerhead, Burnt Match Man, Mosquito and Tankbot do their thing when Dark Sky Films begins to roll it out theatrically

Starring Karel Roden, FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY lives “in the waning days of World War II, where a battalion of Russian soldiers find themselves lost in enemy territory. Stumbling upon a village decimated by an unseen terror, they discover that a mad scientist conducts experiments to fuse flesh and steel, creating an unstoppable army of undead soldiers. Leaderless and faced with dissention amongst their dwindling ranks, they must find the courage to face down an altogether new menace – or die trying.”
