The Pit and the Pen of Bert I. Gordon Returns to FANGORIA

Legendary sci-fi/fantasy B-movie god Bert I. Gordon, he of such gigantic creature features like EMPIRE OF THE ANTS, FOOD OF THE GODS, THE CYCLOPS, THE AMAZING COLOSSAL MAN, VILLAGE OF THE GIANTS and many, many more is returning to the pages of FANGORIA magazine!

Gordon (or Mr. B.I.G as he’s known to his fans), took over the long shelved “Pit and the Pen” column from late writer/producer Alex Gordon (the man behind She CreatureEd Wood’s Jail Bait, no relation) who wrote the popular feature for FANGORIA magazine during the 1980s, presenting an ongoing diary of his wild and weird war stories from the front lines of the B-movie business during its heyday in the 1950s and ’60s.

Bert I. Gordon’s version of “Pit and the Pen” ran between 2010 and 2012 and continued in that tradition of a first-person peek into the wild world of making amazing monster movies with few resources and having a blast in the process. After a hiatus, Mr. B.I.G has returned. His first comeback column will appear in FANGORIA #336, due on stands early September.

Stay tuned for more details and visit Bert’s homepage for more on his movies.
