Ti West’s “THE SACRAMENT” to premiere in Venice

As the festival season approaches, overwhelming lineups are beginning to be announced. The first wave of both Toronto and Fantastic Fest were very exciting indeed, and now it seems the prestigious Venice will host the debut of the highly anticipated latest from HOUSE OF THE DEVIL and THE INNKEEPERS director Ti West.

Premiering in the Orizzonti (New Trends in World Cinema) Section of the 70th Venice International Film Festival, THE SACRAMENT stars AJ Bowen (THE SIGNAL, A HORRIBLE WAY TO DIE), Joe Swanberg (YOUR’E NEXT), Amy Seimetz (THE KILLING), Gene Jones (NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN) and SUN DON’T SHINE’s Kentucker Audley. The film, about a team of investigative journalists documenting a rural Jonestown-esque cult, is produced by Eli Roth.

The 70th Venice International Film Festival runs August 28-September 7, 2013. For more, visit the official site.
