Toronto: HORROR-RAMA brings Tristan Risk & “THE DEVILS” star Meg Walter to the show!

,

HORROR-RAMA, the fun-filled two-day fan event that celebrated its inaugural year last October in Toronto to great acclaim, returns again… bigger, bloodier and weirder than ever! The show, the brainchild of SUSPECT Video owner Luis Ceriz and FANGORIA/GOREZONE editor Chris Alexander, will run for two days– October 17th and 18th– in Toronto at the elegant Hyatt Regency hotel, located right in the heart of downtown Toronto beside film culture hub TIFF Bell Lightbox. More vendors. More space. More guests. More fun…

Guests so far include exploitation film goddess Sybil Danning, horror movie producer/writer/director Mick Garris, actress/director Debbie Rochon, rock legend and actress Cherie Currie, filmmakers Jen and Sylvia Soska, Italian horror film star Ian McCulloch, comic book king Steve Niles and LAND OF THE DEAD star Eugene Clark. Now, HORROR-RAMA adds another amazing female star to our roster.

We’re thrilled to be bringing The Soska Sister’s alumni Tristan Risk to Toronto. Risk is the iconic Burlesque artist who The Soska’s cast as the surgery-obsessed Beatress in their cult hit AMERICAN MARY and, since appearing in that beloved film, her star has not stopped rising. Risk just showed up in the Astron 6 neo-giallo THE EDITOR and will appear in a myriad films this year including Canadian filmmaker Ryan Andrews’ SAVE YOURSELF, Staci Layne Wilson’s FETISH FACTORY and the upcoming FRANKENSTEIN CREATED BIKERS, to name just a few.

Risk is a performer, a thinker, an artist and an actor and we’re incredibly honored to have her at the show.

Also joining Tristan and the gang will be veteran actress Meg Walter who most recently appeared in the Canadian zombie comedy DEAD BEFORE DAWN but has had an amazing career, starring as Sister Meg in Ken Russell’s immortal THE DEVILS and appearing in Terrence Fisher’s Hammer Horror classic THE CURSE OF THE WEREWOLF as well. Walter has never, ever appeared at a convention like this and we’re stoked to be able to feature her!
