TORONTO: HORROR-RAMA Returns This October; First Guests Announced!

HORROR-RAMA, the two day fan event that celebrated its inaugural year last October in Toronto to great acclaim, returns again… bigger, bloodier and weirder than ever! The show, the brainchild of SUSPECT Video owner Luis Ceriz and FANGORIA/GOREZONE editor Chris Alexander, will run for two days – October 17th and 18th – in Toronto at the elegant Hyatt Regency hotel, located right in the heart of downtown Toronto beside film culture hub TIFF Bell Lightbox.

More vendors. More space. More guests. More fun to be had by all!

Over the next few months HORROR-RAMA will be announcing its guest list, off and on-site event details and ticket information. But for now, we’re excited to announce our first two of many more to come celebrity attendees, both of who have NEVER BEFORE APPEARED AT ANY CANADIAN SHOW!

First off, HORROR-RAMA is thrilled to be bringing the incredible cult movie legend and reigning strange cinema sex symbol Sybil Danning, who appears just in time to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the insane sequel HOWLING II: YOUR SISTER IS A WEREWOLF, in which she played the statuesque werewolf queen, Stirba. Danning has appeared in tons of unique genre fare including Luigi Cozzi’s HERCULES, the roughie CHAINED HEAT and most recently in Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN and the WEREWOLF WOMEN OF THE SS mock trailer from the GRINDHOUSE theatrical release. Sybil is lovely, brilliant, charming and eager to meet her Canadian fans!

Also coming to HORROR-RAMA is the incredible writer, producer, director, visionary and gentleman of horror, Mick Garris, the man behind the beloved MASTERS OF HORROR TV series as well as the critically lauded telefilm adaptations of Stephen King’s THE STAND, THE SHINING and BAG OF BONES. Garris also helmed the cult King-scripted thriller SLEEPWALKERS and recently served as co-producer on the Angelina Jolie-directed docu-drama UNBROKEN. Mick is truly one of the brightest lights in genre film culture and we are beyond buzzed to be able to celebrate his legacy here, in Toronto, at HORROR-RAMA.
