Toronto! Win tix to FANGORIA’s presentation of Cronenberg’s “SHIVERS” at TIFF this Friday

Fango editor Chris Alexander will host a special restored-director’s-cut screening of David Cronenberg’s first masterpiece, 1975’s SHIVERS, this Friday night, November 15 at 8:45 p.m. at Toronto’s TIFF Bell Lightbox, part of the ongoing David Cronenberg: Evolution screening series and massive exhibit/installation.

SHIVERS, produced by Cinepix legends John Dunning and Andre Link, stars Lynn Lowry and Paul Hampton as a couple running afoul of a malevolent, sexually transmitted plague in a state-of-the-art Montreal high-rise. Filled with blood, grim erotica, hideous phallic parasites, grotty production values and ample intellectualism, SHIVERS also stars the great Barbara Steele and features groundbreaking early bladder FX work by Joe Blasco.

To win a pair of tickets, e-mail chris@fangoria.com with the answer to the following question:

What was SHIVERS’ American theatrical release title?

Good luck, and see you at the Starliner…
