Toys of Terror #22

Welcome to TOYS OF TERROR, Fango’s weekly feature exhibiting the coolest horror accessories across the web. Whether you’re a collector, connoisseur or simply making your love of horror a family affair, these petrifying playthings are likely to impress even the most heartless horror fan. So if you’re searching for a ghoulish gift, look no further…

To start off Toys of Terror this week, we’re going to show a little love to a group of villains that are often overshadowed by their more vocal, iconic compatriot: the Cenobites! All from NECA’s HELLRAISER Series 2 Figures, this set of four includes Butterball, Angelique, Surgeon and Skinless Julia, each standing at 6-inches tall. With each figure featuring limited articulation and character-specific accessories, you can add all four of these baddies to your collection for $50.99 here.

Our second Toy of Terror is a unique take on a classic creature, as Mezco offers up an 18-inch replica of Frankenstein’s Monster! Featuring a twist on Boris Karloff’s unmistakable visage, Mezco’s Monster has eight points of articulation and is one of the largest figures of Frankenstein currently available on the market. So for any and all Frankenstein fanboys looking to literally cast a shadow on other Monster figures, you can have a 6-lb towering terror of your own for $71.99 here.

Coming in at number three this week is another twist on a familiar face in fright, with Diamond Select’s battle-scarred Van Helsing action figure! Sculpted by Jean St. Jean, this plastic 7-inch Van Helsing comes equipped with stakes, axes and a crossbow, as well as a deluxe cemetery base complete with a female vampire rising from the ground. Based on an original design, this Van Helsing figure is available for pre-order for $22.99 here.

Next up comes a more contemporary chiller from Toys of Terror regular, Funko POP!, with their adorable accessory to mutilation: Billy the Puppet from SAW! This 3 and 3/4th-inch vinyl figure offers an accessible and affordable Billy than previously available, and is perfect for any SAW or Funko fanatic. Though the figure comes sans tricycle, you can get this Billy for the low price of $9.99 here.

The last of this week’s Toys of Terror is the priciest of the bunch, but may be the crown jewel of any self-respecting UNDERWORLD fan’s collection: a scale replica of Selene’s Throwing Stars! From Hollywood Collectibles and officially licensed, this 3-piece set comes at 4.5-inches a piece in diameter, features an intricate Vampire glyph and includes glowing-blue internal LED’s for complete screen-accuracy. These pieces are hand-painted on heavyweight polystone, and come complete with a mountable display base. Limited to only 750 pieces in total, this hardcore collectible comes at a steep $249.99 here.
