Welcome to TOYS OF TERROR, Fango’s weekly feature exhibiting the coolest horror accessories across the web. Whether you’re a collector, connoisseur or simply making your love of horror a family affair, these petrifying playthings are likely to impress even the most heartless horror fan. So if you’re searching for a ghoulish gift, look no further…
Our first Toy of Terror this week comes from the folks over at Full Moon Pictures with their action figure from David DeCoteau’s 1998 cult flick, SHRIEKER! Standing at 8-inches tall, the SHRIEKER figure also comes with a Bone Club accessory, real cloth costume as well as collectible blister packaging. This figure will not have a second printing, so you can pick up your SHRIEKER figure for only $4.95 here!
Next up is a creepy collectible from the good folks over at Funko, as their POP! series adds another iconic character from THE WALKING DEAD to their roster with The Teddy Bear Girl Zombie. Designed after the girl first seen in the series premiere of THE WALKING DEAD, this vinyl figure stands at 3 and 3/4 inches tall while also featuring screen-accurate braces and bunny slippers. If you’re a collector of Funko’s finest or a WALKING DEAD die-hard, you can get this POP! replica for only $9.99 here.
Coming in as our third Toy of Terror this week is NECA, as they recently put Series 4 of their ALIEN set for pre-order, including the first-ever officially licensed likeness of Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley! Featuring Ellen Ripley, Dallas and Spacesuit Ripley, these figures come with a slew of accessories, including a flamethrower, pistol, flashlight, removable helmets, harpoon gun, and two different versions of Jonesy the Cat! With all three figures standing at 7-inches a piece and coming in a collectible 35th Anniversary packaging, you can pre-order this three-pack for $49.99, less than $20 a figure, here.
The fourth Toy of Terror this week is another entry from Distinctive Dummies, a rather relevant piece from their Roy Ashton collection: Arthur Grimsdyke from Amicus’ TALES FROM THE CRYPT. Standing at 12-inches tall, this painstaking Steve Thompson-sculpted replica is officially authorized by the Ashton Estate and features both hand-made clothing as well as a Torn-Out Heart accessory. Perfect to go with Scream Factory’s newly released TALES FROM THE CRYPT Blu-ray and FANGORIA’s epic Amicus issue, you can get this 1:6 scale Grimsdyke for $104.99 (which includes international shipping) here.
Last but not least is another bank-breaking, but phenomenal collectible from the amazing people at Sideshow Toys, offering their battle-damaged T-800 figure from THE TERMINATOR! Standing at 21-inches and weighing in at 14 lbs, this screen-accurate TERMINATOR replica comes with a custom base and a literal hand cannon, all crafted with immaculate precision and detail. For the end-all, be-all TERMINATOR collector, accept no substitutes: this bad to the bone boy comes in at a steep $341.99 or $114.00 a month here.
