Toys of Terror #41

Welcome to TOYS OF TERROR, Fango’s weekly feature exhibiting the coolest horror accessories across the web. Whether you’re a collector, connoisseur or simply making your love of horror a family affair, these petrifying playthings are likely to impress even the most heartless horror fan. So if you’re searching for a ghoulish gift, look no further…

This week’s first Toy of Terror comes from NECA, and comes a flipside to last week’s creepy obscure collectible: the PREDATOR 2 video game figure! Painted to replicate the 16-bit look of the character from the 1992 video game, the character stands at 8-inches tall and features over 25 points of articulation. Complete with an array of accessories, including a staff, disc, skull and spine, you can pre-order this figure for only $19.99 here.

Our second Toy of Terror comes from good ol’ Mezco, who recently debuted their latest addition to the Living Dead Dolls, THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON. Standing at 10-inches tall, this LDD CREATURE features a brand new face and body sculpt which captures every iconic detail of the monster, making it an outstanding collectible for the series.  Available only while supplies last and featuring a collector-friendly window box, you can pick up this Living Dead Doll for $26.99 here.

The third Toy of Terror for this week comes from Diamond Selects and will please any die-hard fan of THE WALKING DEAD: The Michonne Sword Letter Opener! A miniature replica of Michonne’s sword from Robert Kirkman’s WALKING DEAD comics, this letter opener comes in a holder that’s fashioned like- you guessed it- a disembodied zombie head. Packaged in a full-color slipcase, this 12-inch letter opener can be purchased for $79.99 here (and it come with free shipping!).

Coming in at number four this week is another entry from the good folks at Distinctive Dummies, who are bringing icon Christopher Lee to a small scale with their Duc de Richleau figure from THE DEVIL RIDES OUT! Standing at 12-inches tall (at a 1:6 scale), this figure comes with both custom hand-made clothing and a Steve Thompson sculpt. While supplies are very limited, you can pick up this Duc de Richleau figure for $110, inclusive of worldwide shipping, here.

Our fifth, and most expensive, Toy of Terror is another game-changer from Sideshow Collectibles, who recently unveiled their replica of the Space Jockey from ALIEN! Based on H.R. Giger’s original design for the character, Sideshow has painstakingly reproduced the Space Jockey for full screen accuracy. Measuring in at 21-inches tall, 18-inches wide and 23-inches long, you can have a Space Jockey of your own for $599.99 here.
