Toys of Terror #45

Welcome to TOYS OF TERROR, Fango’s weekly feature exhibiting the coolest horror accessories across the web. Whether you’re a collector, connoisseur or simply making your love of horror a family affair, these petrifying playthings are likely to impress even the most heartless horror fan. So if you’re searching for a ghoulish gift, look no further…

This week’s first Toy of Terror is one for the fans of truly classic horror comedy, as well as one of horror’s first lovely ladies: Lily Munster from THE MUNSTERS! One of the latest in the line of Tweeterhead’s MUNSTERS maquettes, this fully-painted Lily Munster stands at 12-inches tall and was limited to only 113 pieces! You can pick up this 1/6 scale petrifying porcelain princess for yourself for $224.99 here.

Our next Toy of Terror is the column’s second entry from Sideshow Collectibles’ original COURT OF THE DEAD series, as they present their malevolent character “The Red Death!” Standing at 21.5-inches tall, The Red Death comes with a golden mask accessory and sports a design from Tom Gilliland and Amilcar Fong. For fans of the gory macabre, you can start your COURT OF THE DEAD collection with The Read Death for $379.99 here.

Next up is another Sideshow Collectible piece featuring one of the more divisive figures in sci-fi horror history, as we have Sideshow’s massive Engineer figure from PROMETHEUS! Standing at 22-inches tall, this statue features a screen-accurate Engineer, painstakingly sculpted and painted by Pablo Viggiano and Tim Gore, respectively. ALIEN completists and PROMETHEUS die-hards can add this definitive figure to their collection for $399.99 (or a $133.33 monthly payment plan) here.

Our fourth Toy of Terror comes from the good folks over at Hot Toys and features cinematic variant for one of the more beloved screen monsters of our time: the Elder Predator from PREDATOR 2! Sculpted and painted by Joseph Tsang, this authentic and fully-detailed Elder Predator stands at 14-inches tall and features 22 points of articulation. Also including a cavalcade of accessories, including 6 interchangeable hands, you can get this bad boy for $202.49 here.

Last but not least is something special for Guillermo del Toro fans from the good folks at Sideshow: the limited edition Knifehead kaiju from PACIFIC RIM! With an appropriate base, this Knifehead figure stands at 14-inches by 14.5-inches by 20 inches, and is limited to only 1000 pieces. The most impressive and detailed sculpt of the character to date, you can add Knifehead to your creepy creature collection for $379.99 (or $126.66 per month Payment Plan) here.
