Toys of Terror #46

Welcome to TOYS OF TERROR, Fango’s weekly feature exhibiting the coolest horror accessories across the web. Whether you’re a collector, connoisseur or simply making your love of horror a family affair, these petrifying playthings are likely to impress even the most heartless horror fan. So if you’re searching for a ghoulish gift, look no further…

Today’s first Toy of Terror is one from the amazing folks at Distinctive Dummies, and features one of the most underrated creatures from a Stephen King production: Dwight Renfield from THE NIGHT FLIER! Standing at 8-inches tall,  this NIGHT FLIER figure is hand-painted, and features both custom-made clothing and real hair. With a likeness sculpted by Ron Gearing, this Dwight Renfield figure is in a very limited run, and can be picked up for $80 (inclusive of worldwide shipping) here.

Next up is another entry from DD, and this time it’s a little bit more of a contemporary chiller: “Mr. Boogie” (a/k/a Bughuul) from Scott Derrickson’s SINISTER! Another Ron Gearing sculpt, this movie monster stands at 8-inches tall as well, and also features custom-made clothing and a hand-painted design. With a Type S bandless body, this “Mr. Boogie” figure is also extremely limited, and is available for $80 (inclusive of worldwide shipping) here.

Our third Toy of Terror is a genuine icon of horror at his biggest and his baddest: TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D’s Leatherface in his largest sculpt to date! From Hollywood Collectibles, this 20-inch, 1:4 scale Leatherface comes with a dismembered arm base as well as a screen-accurate and detailed hand-painted visage, including the blood-stained chainsaw! Limited to only 500 pieces, this polystone Leatherface collectible can be yours for $329.99 here.

Coming in at number four this week is another addition to NECA’s video game horror collection, bringing Mohawk from GREMLINS 2 as seen from the 1990 video game adaptation of the sinister sequel! Standing at 6-inches tall, this Mohawk figure features a design replicated to look like the pixelated look of the character from the 8-bit game, and features both a hinged jaw and machine gun accessory. Fully articulated, you can add Mohawk to your GREMLINS collection for $19.99 here.

Our last Toy of Terror might be more STARLOG territory than FANGORIA, but any malevolent monster figure is fine by us: TriForce’s Goliath statue from EVOLVE! Standing at 29-inches high and weighing in at 35 lbs, this is the most massive and game-accurate bust of the man-hunting monster available, and features working LED effects. Hand-crafted and hand-painted, this polystone Goliath is an authentic piece of video game history, and can be yours for $750.00 (or a payment plan of $135.00 a month) here.
