Welcome to TOYS OF TERROR, Fango’s weekly feature exhibiting the coolest horror accessories across the web. Whether you’re a collector, connoisseur or simply making your love of horror a family affair, these petrifying playthings are likely to impress even the most heartless horror fan. So if you’re searching for a ghoulish gift, look no further…
Our first Toy of Terror this week is another addition from Distinctive Dummies, and features one of horror TV’s most notorious villains: The Night Strangler! Standing at 8-inches tall, this figure of THE NIGHT STALKER’s Dr. Richard Malcolm is hand-painted and comes with custom hand-made clothing as well. Limited to only 60 pieces, you can get this petrifying prized collectible while they last HERE.
Coming in at number two this week is a collectible from the Funko POP! Series, who offer their specific spin on the “Mother Ghost” from CRIMSON PEAK! Made of vinyl and standing at 3-and-¾-inches tall, this POP! figure gives fans just enough insight into one of the main monsters in Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming haunted house flick. So for fright fans who want del Toro’s most recent creepy creation in their Funk collection, you can pick up this figure HERE.
Next up is another trusted release from the gang over at Funko, who offer a Vinyl Idolz take on SHAUN OF THE DEAD’s Zombified Ed! This 8-inch figure of the character played memorably by Nick Frost comes with a unique, blood-spattered decor as well as a record accessory and custom packaging. A must-have for die-hard SHAUN fanatics, you can pre-order Ed the Zed HERE.
Our fourth Toy of Terror this week comes from the people at McFarlane Toys as they bring THE WALKING DEAD’s Rick Grimes in full-on bloody badass mode! Standing at 10-inches tall and featuring a 3D-scanned likeness of actor Andrew Lincoln, this figure comes with authentic in-scale replicas of Rick’s red-handled machete, revolver, knife and d-rings. Also including an alternate arm and hand to create additional weaponized character poses, you can add this sheriff-gone-mad to your collection HERE.
Last but not least for the 66th Toys of Terror is an impressive entry from Rubies presenting an 18-inch Freddy Krueger bust from the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET series! Disturbingly detailed, this recreation of the horror icon’s head-and-hat comes with a numbered plaque and a certificate of authenticity. This movie-accurate bust looks to haunt your dreams and your bank account, but you can pick up this unsettling statue HERE.
