Trailer: Filmax Presents a Gothic, Violent Take on “SUMMER CAMP”

Produced by Filmax and Jaume Balaguero ([REC], SLEEP TIGHT] and directed by SLEEP TIGHT scripter Alberto Marini, SUMMER CAMP follows an infection spread between would-be counselors on the eve of opening. And though horror fans are likely expecting short shorts and great outdoors, its trailer anticipates a violent and aesthetically unfamiliar take on summer camp shocks.

In SUMMER CAMP, the camp itself looks based in a rundown Gothic manor. “When Darren, Michelle, Will and Christy signed up to work as camp counselors, they had visions of a fun-filled summer in an exciting foreign country. During their last hours of ‘freedom’ before the camp opens its doors, the young counselors are determined to have a night they’ll never forget –and they won’t be disappointed…  Before the party’s even gotten underway, things get ugly, very ugly… A silent infection spreads, a friend snaps without prior notice. A savage game of cat and mouse ensues, it’s unclear who is afflicted and who is not, and the pursuer can become the pursued in the blink of an eye.”

THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL’s Jocelin Donahue stars. SUMMER CAMP will have a presence at November’s American Film Market in Los Angeles, with news on when you can see it hopefully to follow.
