Trailer: Revenge saga from “RABIES” duo, “BIG BAD WOLVES”

The grim and grimly funny story of a rogue detective, a grieving father and a killer of young girls, which premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, is something to behold. Now, our first look has arrived from directors Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado.

BIG BAD WOLVES finds “a series of brutal murders put the lives of three men on a collision course: The father of the latest victim now out for revenge, a vigilante police detective operating outside the boundaries of law, and the main suspect in the killings – a religious studies teacher arrested and released due to a police blunder.” The film is often remarkable, continuing to explore the themes of selfish folly found in the duo’s fantastic debut RABIES.

Magnolia Pictures has acquired the film for U.S. release, but a date has yet to be announced. For more on BIG BAD WOLVES, see our Michael Gingold’s review here.
