“TRANSCENDENCE” writer for “PROMETHEUS” sequel

Shaw and David have blasted off from LV-223, and now the writer who will take us and them to wherever’s next has been named.

Ridley Scott’s divisive ALIEN prequel concluded with the start of a new journey. Doctor Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and the 2012 winner for “Best Android Hair”, David (Michael Fassbender) may have met the Engineers, but were ultimately unsatisfied with the lack of answers received. With course set for the Engineer homeworld, is that where Jack Paglen’s script is headed? Variety reports that the writer, who penned TRANSCENDENCE (the upcoming directorial debut of cinematographer Wally Pfister) is “in talks” to help craft PROMETHEUS 2.

It’s still unknown whether Scott will return to direct. [Variety]
