Universal gets Internet chiller “CYBERNATURAL” for next year

Having premiered at this past summer’s Fantasia festival to audience screams and strong reviews (including ours), the on-line-horror feature CYBERNATURAL is headed to commercial release in 2015.

Variety reports that Universal Pictures has picked up CYBERNATURAL, directed by Levan Gabriadze, and will release the movie April 10. Nelson Greaves scripted the film, and also produced with WANTED and ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER director Timur Bekmambetov; Jason Blum, who has a major distribution pact with Universal, is now also part of the producing team. The entire feature is presented as a series of Internet chats and communications between a group of teenage friends who realize they are being stalked by a malevolent presence intent on exacting revenge for the suicide of one of their classmates a year before.
