Web series “TALES OF LIGHT AND DARK” launches second season

Indie filmmaker Glen Baisley and his Light & Dark Productions are debuting the second season of their on-line anthology series TALES OF LIGHT AND DARK with a werewolf tale for Halloween.

TALESLIGHTDARK2NDSEASNEWSMarking the 10th anniversary of their award-winning anthology features THE TENEMENT (in which—full disclosure—this writer has a role), Light & Dark kicks off the latest round of TALES by releasing for free a new director’s cut of the “Full Moon Rising” segment from that movie (pictured above). Last season’s “Open Call” and “GeoKilling” featured the return of “Rising’s” Jimmy Wayne Garrick (Mike Lane), who will be the central character of this season; “Rising” details Jimmy’s spiral into madness as he becomes obsessed with the idea that he is becoming a werewolf after being bitten by a wild animal. The new cut has been upgraded to high definition and converted to widescreen, and includes a new ending that ties it to Jimmy’s activities in season one. This story also marks Light & Dark’s first collaboration with the Gerner & Spears makeup FX team (I SELL THE DEAD, STAKE LAND).

Season two of TALES OF LIGHT AND DARK will be available on Vimeo, YouTube and at the series’ official webpage with the following planned release schedule of episodes and supplemental material:

Part 1: October 31
Part 2: November 7
Part 3: November 14
Bloopers: November 21
Behind-the-scenes photos: November 28
“Full Moon Rising Over Germany”: December 5
“Full Moon Rising Commentary” (with director Glen Baisley and stars Mike Lane and Frank Catalanotto): December 12
Interview With Actor Jack Pruett: December 19

The complete first season can be seen for free here.
