Wes Bentley is “AMNESIAC” in new psychothriller from “DARK SUMMER” writer; distrib news

A MISERY-style flick starring INTERSTELLAR’s Wes Bentley and BLACK ROCK’s Kate Bosworth (pictured above) is headed for a summer release.

XLrator Media has announced that it has acquired North American rights to AMNESIAC, for distribution on its Macabre genre label. According to the official synopsis, “AMNESIAC tells the story of a man [Bentley] who wakes up in bed suffering from memory loss after being in an accident, only to begin to suspect that his wife [Kate Bosworth] may not be his real wife. The web of lies and deceit deepen inside the house where he soon finds himself a prisoner.” Michael Polish—who really is married to Bosworth—directed from a script by Mike Le (who wrote Paul Solet’s DARK SUMMER, opening this Friday) and Amy Kolquist. “AMNESIAC is a stylish and twisted thriller in the vein of MISERY with superb performances by Kate Bosworth and Wes Bentley. Audiences will discover a side of Kate they have never seen before,” says XLrator CEO Barry Gordon.
