Zachary Quinto boards Season 3 of “HANNIBAL”

With the debut of the third season trailer earlier this year, HANNIBAL fans impatiently awaiting until their favorite well-mannered man-eater returns this summer. However, according to an exclusive news break from Entertainment Weekly, the wait will be a little harder, as AMERICAN HORROR STORY actor Zachary Quinto will be joining the already-impressive ensemble this season.

While little is confirmed about his storyline, what is known is that Quinto will be playing a patient of Bedelia Du Maurier, played by Gillian Anderson (who was nominated for a FANGORIA Chainsaw Award for her role in the previous season). Speculation has suggested that the role may be of Hannibal’s first victim under Maurier’s care, or may have been one of the reasons for her fleeing with Hannibal at the end of Season 2. In any case, Quinto is a proven performer and will make a great addition to the cast, especially considering showrunner Bryan Fuller wrote for Quinto during his star-making turn on HEROES.
